The video demonstrates DARPA’s successor to its Atlas robot, the Pet-Proto, capable of manoeuvring over and around obstacles by using autonomous decision-making, dismounted mobility and dexterity. The obstacles aim to recreate the type of situations the Pet-Proto will need to overcome when it is entered into the DARPA Robotics Challenge (DRC), a simulation of a dangerous, degraded, human-engineered environment.
