Contract manufacturer SMC Ltd. has expanded its silicone injection molding facility, bringing the dedicated manufacturing space to more than 7,000 sq ft.
The addition of presses, work cells, and automation will allow the company to increase its capabilities in the medical device silicone molding sector.
“We’ve seen a lot of growth in medical devices that utilize silicone. By tripling our square footage in silicone, we can offer customers expanded services as they relate to medical silicone. In addition to adding presses, we are adding additional work cells and automation,” said Rohit Tandon, SMC Ltd. Vice President Operations.
