Dendro Poland, a main supplier of foam mattresses to IKEA, has implemented Epicor ERP.
“Proven” Epicor ERP software will allow Dendro to keep a “close eye” on inventories, something that is extremely important to its core operations.
Jakub Piekarz, Head of Manufacturing for Dendro, said: “We selected the ERP solution from Epicor because it had already proven itself in other companies with a similar profile.”

Dendro will use its enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution to manage manufacturing, logistics and finance processes.
“As Dendro Poland was growing really quickly, we started to feel the pressure to implement an integrated system to manage the business,” Piekarz said. “Our decision was dictated by the functionality and scalability of the Epicor system, matching the growth of Dendro Poland. It was also important to us that data would be stored centrally after the implementation, and that we could work remotely from a single central installation which could coordinate all external processes.
“We achieved significant business benefits after the implementation. For our entire organization, it is essential that we now have a single system that stores information about all aspects of our operations, from acceptance of materials, production of blocks, to warehouse management. This enables us to do better planning and forecasting.
“When it comes to logistics, the main benefit is warehouse management. We have records of movements between warehouses with a full log of operations. In terms of manufacturing, the greatest improvement was in the field of long blocks production management.
“By replacing a simple application to manage production with an integrated system, we have achieved a number of benefits such as integration between our ERP system and the sales system of our main customer, IKEA,” he added. “Because of that, we can very efficiently exchange information about orders, shipments, invoices and manufacturing planning. Another key element of the implementation was the integration with the supplies planning system at an external warehouse. Additionally, when a new mattress is ready, it is reported with bar code scanners. This optimizes and automates daily routines at Dendro Poland.”
