Hans Fischer, 53, is currently a member of the executive board of Salzgitter AG, but will become Chairman of the Management Board of the Steel Americas business area effective February 1, 2010.
He will assume the position originally intended for Erich Heine, who died in an air crash on June 1, 2009.
