Dutch electronics company Philips has launched a toothbrush that can be charged via a USB port.
The Sonicare DiamondClean comes in a plastic travel case containing the port, to which users can connect their toothbrush for a wireless battery boost.
The toothbrush can also be charged via traditional bathroom sockets.
With five brushing modes, the electronics company feels this is their “most advanced brush yet”.
The gadget will retail at around £250 (approximately $400).
While the USB port has mostly been used on products to enable charging via a laptop, tablet or personal computer, Philip’s use of USB in the bathroom is thought to be a first.
The company has also launched the Sonicare AirFloss, which delivers a quick burst of air between teeth to remove plaque.
