What an exciting month May was. We now have a coalition government in the UK, GM posted its first quarterly profit since 2007 (shock horror), an Icelandic volcano caused travel chaos, the eurozone slumped to a new low and Tesla unveiled plans to build electric cars with Toyota.
May also provided me with an opportunity to speak to more of you, our readers. I love talking to people that are passionate about manufacturing. Manufacturing is the cornerstone of the economy; it drives innovation and advances technology, developing products which help to improve lives.
A thriving manufacturing sector is crucial and the world needs innovative and profitable firms, large, medium and small, investing in new products and processes.
